In the lesson we got together with the members of the group that were in the lesson which wasnt all of us and come up with ideas for what added sound effects we could put into our scenes to make it sound more interesting than how it originally is. The ideas we come up with are-
Sound effects
- Stabbing fruit with scissors either a melon or grapefruit or squash, this would be to go with when poppy gets stabbed, to make it more clear she has been stabbed with them.
-filling a balloon with red colouring and pop it to create a blood effect noise, also for the stabbing.
- heart monitor or beating heart as a sound effect, builds suspense in the scenes.
-Screaming sound effect, this adds a horror effect and more scarier.
Song
- Song recorded in a minor key to make it sound lower and duller ,as the song we have chosen ( A team by Ed Sheeran) is quite up beat.
-Song without lyrics maybe to be less happy and create more of a depressing sound.
- Acoustic guitar on the recording and a lot slower, again creates dreariness and eliminates happiness.
What we need for fridays lesson:
- Squash fruit - Miss Alison
- Food colouring - Daisy
-Balloons- Miss Alison/Daisy
-Scissors-Shaunagh
- Old white top(that will get ruined) - Anybody who can get hold of/find one.
- Harrys hoodie- Harry

Screen shot of our timeline of the production
This shows all the work we have done whilst editing, this is taken from the edit we did with the new shots of Harry and the weapon.
First Cut
This was our first cut, we have since made changes due to feed back we got from the rest of the class.
Re Editing
We re edited our production using the footage we got from Shaunagh's house. This time the opeing flowed more successfully, we changed our ending slightly so now it's Harry smoking the cigarette at the end, instead of Bethan crying at the memorial. When we watched it through Bethan came up with the idea that at the very end after the Honey Bear title comes up we should have Bethan who plays Poppy's mother shouting "Poppy, it's time to get up for school" this is so it gives the idea that the story continues and doesn't just end when the opening does.
Re filming at Shaunagh's house
We went back to re film at Shaunagh's house again, this time we filmed it completely different. We had a weapon this time to make it look like Shaunagh was more dead, we also used strawberry syrup to create blood. The overall day went well and we started to use different angles which make the production seem much more professional. We also filmed Harry dropping the weapon in the alleyway near Shaunagh's house and we filmed Harry smoking a cigarette, this was so the story included Harry more to make the story follow on from our opening.

Peer Assesment of the first cut
The camerawork was very unsteady for the shot with the photo of Shaunagh, so we have decided to re shoot that shot by doing two separate shots. We will do that by looking at the whole picture and zooming in an separate shot. The pace of the film was very slow, especially with the scene in Poles Lane, we have decided to cut down the scene so you only have the views of Shaunagh closer to the camera. In addition we still have to get the A-team correct with Shaunagh's voice over, we found out how to change the volume of the sound so we can play the A-team while Shaunagh is speaking. Also some of the camera sound is too loud e.g. the wind, we have also decided to turn the volume of this down as well
Group improvements:- Re-shoot photo frame shot as it is too jerky in the first cut
- Add in a new shot to make it clear Poppy's dead.. Maybe a knife to represent stabbing
- Another shot of Harry to go with the voice-over of when Shaunagh blames her downfall on 'him' to make it look more matching.

Editing of the first cut
We started to do our editing for our film opening Honey Bear. We originally planned to do our editing together, however we split up into three groups; me, Beth and Samaya. Daisy and Shaunagh. Jared and Harry.
My group had edited ours quite quickly because we all knew what we were doing, some of the cuts were difficult to do especially the Poles Lane shots this was because the timing of the two different shots had to be perfect. We added the "A Team" by Ed Sheran but difficuties arose when adding the voice over as well as we couldn't really hear the voice over that well however we cut the song track up and now it plays the song in seperate parts.

Poles lane
We went to Poles Lane to do our filming of Poppy walking down the street, first dressed as a prostitute and then as a normal person. We had originally done this on the Wednesday two weeks before however because I couldn't make it that day the group didn't have the storyboard and didn't try and contact me they did some of the shots wrong. So on Wednesday 14th we took a minibus up to Poles Lane and started shooting again, it only took 20 minutes to film. Overall we were happy with the Poles Lane shoot because it went well and was quick.
Reshooting at Shaunagh's and my house
We had to re shoot our shots and mine and Shaunagh's house because of the bad lighting. We first went to Shaunagh's house because we needed more light for the shots with Shaunagh and Harry. Everything went well and it didn't take as long as the first time because we cut down how long it took for the make up.
We went to my house next and this went well too, there were some minor problems with filming the memorial part of the film outside because the candle flames kept going out but we sorted that out quite quickly.
