I can take inspiration from many directors but I will take inspiration from films I know most e.g.
Harry Potter director David Yates
Lovely Bones director Peter Jackson
I chose these film directors as the later films of Harry Potter have a dark theme running through them and David Yates does a good job at managing to portray the dark times well. Lovely Bones has a dark theme also, it relates to what we are doing as well, as it involves murder and the girl who gets murdered comes back as a ghost like image.

Film Opening - Honey Bear
We all had to come up with ideas for a film opening and we presented those ideas to the class, we all voted for Shaunagh's idea which was a film opening called "Honey Bear"

This film would be a gritty, tragic thriller, the main plot line would be, a young girl who is 17 years old, she lives in a normal house hold with a normal family. She fades into the back ground at school and is desperate to be noticed by males, after meeting Justin who manipulates her life making her try drugs, forcing her to drink and eventually forcing her into prostitution she tries to escape him and the life she has caused. She has to face her last client who kills her. We see her on the bed dead but then she gets up and walks down a lane, as she walks she changes out of her prostitute clothes and into typical teenage clothes. She ends up at her house but nobody sees her, hears her or acknowledges her, she lays in her bed and then disappears, it flashes forward to her funeral, and the last part we see is her family crying at the funeral.
The audience this film would be aimed are teenagers from 15 plus, they would be people who are interested in British dramas such as Skins, Shameless and This is England also films such as Adulthood and Kidulthood. The characters would be teenagers; they would be quite “rough” and clearly had troubled lives. This film would be set in Hackney which is known for its rough reputation. The music used would be current “street” music such as Ed Sheerans A team and Professor Greens Jungle, therefore it would attract listeners of this genre of music to the film. The name of the film would be called Honey bear because that’s what she gets called by her parents at the start of the film, then by Justin as a pet name, and then finally by her killer so gradually the name becomes more sinister
